Keep an Existing Hello Account
If an old Hello account uses the same email, confirm its existing Hello password when asked. This protects the account's contacts and history. Contact support if you cannot complete the link; accounts are not merged solely by matching email.
Contacts and Conversations
Add a friend and wait for acceptance. Select a contact or group to review messages and reply. Groups, contact requests, and visibility controls live in the sidebar and settings.
Audio Calls
Choose your input and output devices and check their volumes before calling. Direct connections depend on both networks and firewalls; some network combinations may prevent a call.
Your Information
Review profile visibility and local history settings. Messages, profiles, and connection signalling use the application's existing services. Do not assume end-to-end encryption or guaranteed connectivity.
