FTP Ultra Field Guide
Add a Website
Choose Add Website, then enter its name, server, port, username, and password. Explicit FTPS normally uses port 21. This is FTP over TLS, not SSH/SFTP.
Map Your Folders
Add named pairs of local folders and remote paths. Review which side is the source before selecting Sync Up or Sync Down. Disabled websites and path pairs are excluded from bulk synchronization.
Secure FTP
Keep TLS and hostname verification enabled when your hosting provider supports them. A certificate mismatch should be corrected using the provider's proper hostname. Plain FTP does not encrypt credentials or file contents.
Review Before Syncing
Synchronization can replace files and remove stale destination content. Keep independent backups and verify the destination folder before proceeding. The activity panel reports transfer progress and failures.
Account Access
Sign in through your Polywinkle account. FTP Ultra is C$2.99 CAD per month, separate from other product subscriptions. The signed monthly access cache is kept locally and encrypted for your Windows account.
